Asian style beef noodle recipe

Hi everyone^^ Today I want to share a simple recipe of one of the dish that I've cooked a few days ago, if you guys followed me on Instagram then you probably have seen it^^ It's a really simple version of an Asian style beef noodle! (The spring rolls were pre-made XD)

So...here it is!!
Ingredients:

Serves 2 People

Beef (I used scotch fillet)..........300g
Onion..........1/2
Tomato sauce..........4-5 tbsp (depending on your taste)
Ginger..........1 piece
Spring onion.........1 stripe
White wine..........1/2 cup
Soy sauce..........1/4 cup
Chilli bean paste*(Doubanjiang)..........1 tbsp
Chilli oil..........1 tsp (optional if you don't like chilli)
Sesame oil..........1/3 tsp
Sugar..........1/3 tbsp
Black pepper..........1/3 tsp
Water......1.5 cup (You can add more if you prefer a lighter taste for the soup)
Chinese (Yang Chun) plain noodles**..........enough for 2 people
Bok Choy (or any other vegetable, I used broccoli here)..........1 (small)

*Chilli bean paste (Doubanjiang) can be found easily in most Asian grocery stores.
**If you can't find this type of noodle, then you can replace it with another kind of noodle if you wish.

Methods:

1. Chop onion and scotch fillet into small cubes, slice the spring onion and ginger into small stripes.
2. Put 1 tsp of oil into the pan, pour in the tomato sauce (Becareful with this step as the tomato sauce will cause a splash once heated with the oil).
3. Stir fry the onion, 1/2 of the spring onion from step 1 and ginger until golden.
4. Add in the scotch fillet cubes and stir fry until 70% cooked.
5. Add in the white wine, soy sauce, water, sugar, black pepper, sesame oil and chilli bean paste. Then use maximum heat to boil.
6. After it has boiled, turn the heat down to low and cook for 2-3 hours with covered lid.
7. Put the noodles into boiling water and then take out after it's cooked.
8. Put the vegetable into the leftover water that was used to cook the noodle and heat them for a few minutes.
9. Place the noodles, vegetable and beef into a bowl.
10. Pour the leftover soup that was used to cook the beef onto the noodles and then sprinkle the left over spring onion from step 1.

TA-DA! All done!! You can combine this dish with other side dishes to complete your meal, in here I have also added pre-made spring rolls ^^ Ok~~Remember to share the lovely food with your friends ãnd family^^ Enjoy~~
