Matte nail art with gold studs and BornPrettyStore review

Hi guys! Today I have a matte nail art using different types of nail decorations and tools, these includes gold studs, rhinestones, striping tapes and glitters. Please see my Youtube video as below:

So here are all the nail polish and tools that I've used for this nail art:

From left to right: Essence studio nails base coat, Sally Hansen Triple shine 160, Essence special effect holo jewels 12, Matte Finish top coat from Daiso, Essence gel-look top coat.

Tools: Small scissors, silver striping tape, silver glitters, blue and white rhinestones.

Tools: Tweezer, gold studs.

The gold studs were sent to me from BornPrettyStore, and they came in a pack of 20 pieces. There were 9 different patterns available and the one I used here is pattern number 2 which was the 1.2mm Semicircle Champagne golden color studs.

As you can see from my video, these studs can be applied onto the nails by a tweezer. I do feel this is slightly challenging especially for people who are not familiar with using tweezers, as the size of the stud itself can be quite difficult to pick up and tend to flip by itself. The trick here is to have a bit of patience and go slowly when you try to pick them up^^ Once you put them in place, they actually don't shift as much due to the small size.

In this nail art, I have applied the gold studs along with rhinestones to compliment the look. You can choose this method or even apply the studs on their own, or alternatively, combine them with other type of studs too. Also, don't hesitate to trial different base colors. I felt maroon will go great with the gold studs for a Fall nail art, and black base color will create a more edgy look along with the studs.

Again I was quite happy with this product except that it can be a bit tricky to apply, also the fact it comes in 20 pieces can limit the number of designs you can come up with.

Thanks to BornPrettyStore for the product, and don't forget to use this voucher below if you are interested in anything at their website^^
